Welcomed Back to SB

I have had a fantastic welcome back to SB these last few days, and it all started with early Christmas presents... from myself. But that's okay. They are worth it to me.

Christmas Present #1= new boots. Literally the most comfortable boots I've ever had. I feel like I could run a marathon everytime I put them on. No joke.

Christmas Present #2 = New extension lenses for my Sony. I've had my DSLR for about 4 and 1/2 years and I figured that I use it enough where buying new equipment is actually worth it. Let's hope it pays off. I got a zoom extension and a macro extension and so far they have proved their worth. Hopefully I can prove this to you all soon - except there's this little fact of, 'I do not know where I left my charger....' This could hinder some of the photo sharing from my good camera. Apologies.

Overall, it has not been an unpleasant way to easy back into the SB lifestyle aka family, food, beaches, painting, and ... why not admit it? Yes I've done a little gaming and I've ENJOYED it.

Procrastination: The Continuation

How can one procrastinate over Christmas break? The answer is, it is very easy to in the blog world. Just one more day off people, I'm still recovering from 'jet lag'... 4 days later....

Okay really I'm recovering from waking up early every day and trying to get everything in order in my room so I can really be home again. That, and I ran early today and it was Elephant Bar, Christmas light tours, and game night with the family. I feel like I've been eating this whole weekend. I mean, I eat everyday. But eating out. Tomorrow is a gourmet buffet and Japanese food - talk about being home again. I think I'm going to be in a permanent food coma. But I'm pretty sure that I'm okay with that.

Also, I'm pretty okay with not having to pay for my own stuff. More on that later. For now, it's dream time for this CA girl.

HOME AGAIN

It's home again for Christmas break. One long, joyous, month of nothings to do and relaxing in the California sun. Okay, I actually have a ton to do. Regardless, it is so wonderful to be home again.

In other news I'm spending the day cleaning and decorating and then dining with Bend relatives! And when I have more time, and I feel like it, I'll post again. But I just didn't want y'all to feel neglected. So, you're welcome I guess.

Greetings from SB, CA.

A Whole Lot of Food

Thanksgiving was just.... wonderful. It was so nice to be home for the first time in 3 months and just relax. Not literally, because I was doing things pretty much the whole time I was home, but mentally. No more stress, no more worrying - just being myself around my family and friends. It was nice to say the least. Of course the visit was too short and I am dragging my feet as I am pushed back into the college world of homework and classes. However, my spirits are held high as I keep in mind that I get to go home in two weeks. Just two weeks until I will have finished my first semester of college! It is rather unbelievable.
And now, some pictures from Thanksgiving. All of them are from the making of muddy buddies right after our Thanksgiving feast. This was obviously because my cousins and I didn't get enough to eat.

As my cousin pointed out, "I'm pretty sure the word pyro should not be used in a food that you put over the fire and then eat...."

yummy

Extra sticky goodness :)

Sorry dogs - chocolate isn't good for you.

Homeword Bound

"I'm coming home, I'm coming home, tell the world I'm coming home."
Yes, it's true. 4 Glorious days in SB and I couldn't be more excited. I get to come home to this
\/ \/ \/

Probably minus the balloons though.

And this. Probably minus the sun though. I'm told it's supposed to rain.

And the best part (almost) is that THIS ^ gets to be reunited for one epic day of shopping. Get excited SB, who knows what will happen?

HOME.

Yes, that's right folks, I'm finally home. Only 4 planes, 34 hours later and did I mention that this was my first time flying by myself?

More detailed posts to come...
