Sonic

So I'm kind of behind on blog posts - sorry family. Last Friday, as I was doing homework, my friends stopped by my window and told me to get dressed. Being in college, I did. We ended up driving around, and then eating a Sonic! Yes Bend relatives - I'm sure you're cheering right now.

In the end, we realized we were a lot more tired than we thought we were. But it was some quality fast food. After all, we did spend a good 2 hours in one of their nifty parking stalls. Normal Friday night?

Funny Ducks

So basically anyone who doesn't know me is going to think I'm sadistic. I'm not, I promise! But I think this is hilarious - probably aided by the fact that it's early in the morning here. Enjoy!

Pretty Cool Stuff

Okay, so remember this thing called reblogging that I've talked about before? Throwing a reblog at y'all. But this is so amazing! Watch it, you definitely won't regret it. Oh, and, by the way? This video is made up entirely of photos. Not a camera. P-H-O-T-O-S.... Okay, now you just think I'm weird, but you'll understand when you watch it.

PS: the real thing is on vimeo. Oh, and this was all done by photographer Dustin Farrell in Arizona and Utah.

Art Update II

In other news I've officially been excepted as an art minor. This was my portfolio that I used to get in - 2 drawings, 1 painting, and 1 photograph.

Fall Colors

Happy Day of Prayer.
I love how Gordon gets a day off from classes to celebrate this. It is a worthy break from classes and I thoroughly enjoyed my off time (other than frantically trying to register for classes). To celebrate I took a walk through the woods to enjoy our lovely fall colors. Is it possible that I stepped into Narnia? The colors were so magnificent and the weather was even a gorgeous, balmy day.
These pictures aren't from today but I've been meaning to post these. More fall colors pictures are on their way! Patience people. I have homework.

Have a fantastic day :)

Halloween College Style

I didn't conform to the standard college Halloween this year, which I'm sure you all will be happy to know. I also did not go trick-or-treating. Sadness. Apparently trick-or-treating ends at 8pm around here. But really, people actually do not hand out candy after 8 at night. Bleh rich old people!
I also really didn't have a costume. At first, I was supposed to be Muffy from the TV show Arthur (the 90's people). Then I couldn't find a purple dress and I didn't want to freeze. So then I was supposed to be the friend in the Calvin and Hobbs comic book series. Also couldn't find overalls. So then I found this really gorgeous sweater in my closet and dressed up like Bill Cosby.

I like it. Also, no matter how many times I pointed out the differences between Bill Cosby and myself, people still pointed out that it was, in fact, a "Bill Cosby" sweater. I couldn't find black facepaint - is that going too far? Anyways, there was a dance in our lounge which I attended. It consisted of basically my dorm floor. But it got really hot, so I changed... again. Really I just changed into regular clothes. But then I saw my friend Will dressed up like Neo from the Matrix and I was like, "Hey! I have a trench coat! I can do that!"And then I stole one of Will's nerf guns and we made a zombie movie.

True Life. I'm in college.

Aquabeads?

So my dad sent me these interesting eco-beads that absorb water and apparently act as soil? I'm not quite sure, it's kind of a mystery to me. But they look really cool. In any case, they started off like this
\/

The directions say to soak them in water, which I did. And then I woke up the next morning. They had substantially changed.

And then you're supposed to put a seed in.

So I did.

And then I guess we'll see what happens. Except, everyone keeps touching the beads. So it might not work. Hear that everyone?! No touching!
